Stress. Frustration. Worry. Confusion.
The truth is that both you and your teen may be feeling stressed by the situation, frustrated that you’re not sure what to do next, worried about it not getting better, and confused about where to get support.
It can be tough to communicate and connect with your teenager, especially if you feel like they’re constantly pushing you away. But there’s hope! At ImPACTful Mentoring, I specialize in helping families strengthen their bonds and improve their relationships.
Here are some common questions I get and their answers:
Q: How can your coaching help my teen build confidence and manage stress?
A: It depends on the service provided, but I help them learn more about themselves and expectations. We all have expectations of ourselves, but the expectations that others have for us can shape how we view ourselves. Being able to better expectations can lead to improved stress management. I share a variety of tools that teens can use to manage stress and keep stress levels manageable.
Q: How do you ensure that teens are comfortable opening up during online coaching sessions?
A: I am my authentic-self. In a coaching setting, I share a bit about myself, as it relates to the teen(s). Since I have two teens, I can better understand the teen struggle, but also provide some plausible reasons that adults may provide as rationales for decisions.
Q: Do you offer any resources or sessions specifically for parents to help us better understand our teens?
A: I have digital courses, digital resources, and live coaching sessions for parents. My coaching is goal-focused, so the content is dependent upon the needs of the parents.
Q: What outcomes can we expect from using your services, and how soon do most families see changes?
A: Most families experience positive changes in just a few weeks. I provide services past those first few weeks, ensuring lasting changes. Better communication and positive mindsets are some of the most important changes families tend to experience.
